Facebook is also inherently closed. Therefore if I were to send links to Twitter, only those who were also my Facebook friends would be able to see it. And besides that, I have serious gripes with Facebook's photo quality and sharing abilities. I know it's the world's largest photo sharing platform, but I like Flickr best.

What is your goal to have everything point to back to Flickr. Would it be better to drive more people to Facebook which is more widely used.

Thank, Gary! This is very helpful to know. As I've pointed out before, and spoken to you directly, I love Posterous and think it's a great way for me to do what I'm trying to do, but just isn't quite perfect yet. For the immediate future I plan to use Posterous as another content outlet, possibly for music.

Thanks for the feedback -- I notice this on my own feed myself.
We're working on an update to the Facebook app so that you can control what if anything happens with posterous posting to FB. So you can control whether you want the twitter app to propagate status, and/or if you want flickr to show up in your feed, or whether you want to use posterous for both or neither.

Stay tuned at our blog -- blog.posterous.com. Thanks again for the post!
